My New Strategy...

Out for a run on the snow covered beach with the dog this morning.

And it was COLD....SPRING, WHERE ARE YOU?!?!??!
My new strategy is to bounce back to LC/WW meals for dinner and a WW dessert for a treat.
Today's menu...
B - Apple pie oatmeal
SNACK - 9 strawberries
L - Veggie burger w/cheese on a roll
SNACK - WW choc. chip cookie dough sundae
D - LC Butternut squash ravioli
SNACKS - 100 cal bag of popcorn, mini peppermint pattie, chocolate pudding cup
We are not really interested in today's Super Bowl, although we are haters of the Steelers so we will cheer on the Cardinals just for shits and giggles!
Off to the boards for a bit.

Reality Hits....

I got on the scale today - haven't WI in over a week. I'm up a total of 5 pounds since November, sigh. All my fault - for some reason my head hasn't been in the game lately.

Time for an about face! I planned all my meals for the week and will get my ass back on the treadmill.

Reflecting on the past several weeks, I think I got cocky thinking that if I ran I could eat whatever I wanted. Another misconception is that so long as you are eating 'real' food, quantity doesn't matter...WRONG!

Today I will eat....

B - Yogurt with almonds and brown sugar
Snack - 1/2 cup raw oatmeal (don't make fun, I really like it!)
L - Egg salad sandwich
Snack - cottage cheese
Dinner - Lemon Chicken
Snack - 2 clementines

I know I am going to be friggin; starving, but its what I have to do!

I have plans for early evening, so I won't be able to run until at least 7:00pm. I'll strive for 3 miles and see how it goes!

We have a 2 hour delay, so I have to get ready for work now. See ya on the boards later!

That's all I have to say about the weather.



On another note, I can say that I've been eating everything in sight today. Not sure what that is all about. I haven't run in several days either.



Maybe I'll get my act together today and run a couple of miles....no promises though!

Seriously

I think I have that Seasonal Mood Disorder....I can't take any more of this miserable cold winter. We are supposed to get snow tonight into tomorrow - most likely a snow day.

Tonight we are meeting my sister-in-law for dinner at Ruby Tuesday's. I am going to have this...


Top Sirloin
A fresh 8-ounce sirloin, grilled to your liking.
242 / 6 / 2 / 0

Creamy Mashed Cauliflower
136 / 8 / 9 / 5

Fresh Steamed Broccoli
(in a buttery sauce)
73 / 5 / 3 / 2

Total calories look to be about 470 or so, not terrible.

Now for the rest of the day....
B - Yogurt with almonds and brown sugar
Snack - clementines, cottage cheese
L - sandwich with roasted chicken
Snack - hostess 100 cal. pack

I will try and get a 2-3 mile run in before we head out....

Sigh

I have little to say today except that I feel fat.

Haven't been on a run since Saturday, which makes me feel gross. I've also been noshing a lot, which makes me feel fatter. Such a vicious cycle.

Today I ate....

B - "apple pie oatmeal"
Snack - 0% plain Greek yogurt with 1/2 oz. almonds and 2t brown sugar
L - roasted chicken sandwich on a roll & 2 clementines
Snack - a couple of potato chips, 2 100-calorie hostess packs
D - omelete with diced onion, red & green peppers, shredded swiss, lite english muffin
Snack - milky way bar

Yuk, typing that just made me sick!

Tomorrow's a new day - and a new challenge.
